Blood and Brown Sugar by L.A.lan
Genre: Fiction, crime, gangs.

Blood and Brown Sugar takes you into a world of biker clubs, gang wars, drugs and romance! Alex Crossman is in a band and is somewhat content spending his time performing at bars across Canada. He injures a member of the Iron Horses Motorcycle club aka the Chevaux de Fer Motorcycle club. The Iron Horses smuggle brown sugar from Afghanistan via India. As a payback to the Iron Horses, Alex has to make the trip to India and make sure the supply gets to Canada safe.
The book is an absolute delight to read! It is better than an action movie ngl. To read about the brotherhood and the bonds of the MC was a new experience for me. The romance, the betrayals and the twists were amazing! Each character is written so well that I could conjure them in my mind's eye. The scenic details captured by the Author especially the ones of the Mumbai Goa highway are a treat to read! I have travelled down the roads so many times, but now I want to experience how it feels to do on a bike.
I'm going to go deeper into this book here as there is not a character limit here. Let's talk about my favourite character- it's definitely Ipsita. Life handed her bad cards, but she still played at the game. She took whatever steps necessary to get herself out of the situation she found herself in- be it bribing a police officer, seducing a biker or edging someone on to murder. Of all the characters in the books, she is truly morally grey. All others have chosen their lives or have been thrust into them, but Ipsita is a combination of both. She is going what she has to. Not to mention her love towards Daya and her concern make her more humane, and put her actions in perspective.
