The Bangkok Fiasco

The Bangkok Fiasco and Other Stories

Genre: Fictional comedy and thrilling short stories
Let us take a minute to admire the cover, okay? I don't know if that's digital art, or a photograph- but it is absolutely amazing! That person had better received a raise after designing this cover!
On to the book, it is a collection of short stories by Subroto Bandopadhyay. There are 10 stories, all with different plots, and each more entertaining that the last.
Each story shows a facet of human behavior, or to be specific Indian behavior.  Most stories have a comic angle to it while some like "Doctor-Doctor" have a sad yet thrilling angle to it. I wish I could say that one story was my favorite, but then I would be lying. I loved the book as a whole, and literally devoured it in one sitting.
The author has the knack of writing stories through the point of view of unpleasant characters as evident in the "Bydgoszcz Diary" and "Love you/love you not". I love reading unpleasant characters as long as they are written well, and this hit all the spots for me.
My ratings-
Stories- 5/5
Characters- 5/5
Cover- 3000/5
Highly recommend! You will enjoy it. It has all the drama you need in your life.
