The Angels of Kailash is the second book of the trilogy authored by Shubira Prasad. This book is the continuation of the first book - The Demons of Jaitraya- but it is a great solo read too.

When battle of Ramayana ended, a lot of demons escaped and hid wherever they could. They have been living , growing and wreaking havoc on the Earth. Foreseeing this, Hanuman was tasked with creating a band of soldiers who would take multiple births with the solo mission of defeating the demons. The leader of this pack, Aishani is blessed by Durga Ma and has super powers.

The book starts off on a bleak note. The School of Warfare, which is the training ground for the soldiers is destroyed by Demons. Aishani, Adheesh and Devnath have escaped narrowly with the help of Garuda. They have 20 something (un)dead soldiers with them. Through the book, the members of this group increase. Some are not aware of their magical powers, while some do not know how to control it. Aishani and Adheesh lead the group on their mission, and keep hunting demons. How do their adventures pan out? My views:

I was skeptical of reading just this book without reading the first one. But this book works as a solo read too, so I am glad I did not put off reading it. The characters are written beautifully! Who does not love a badass female lead? And a supportive and loving husband?! Hell yeah! Just this point of the book made me love the book. Though this is not a romance novel, the I loved reading and seeing their relationship through the book. I would talk about other characters, but that would be like giving spoilers.... It would be enough to say that this book is an action packed drama! Highly recommend!
